Prayer Journey Visits Cuenca, Ecuador
In a first for RMM, a team of eight intercessors, led by prayer coordinator Mim Musser spent ten days in Cuenca, Ecuador, in January praying for the city and the ministry of RMM’s workers there. Prayer journeys have been described as “praying on site with insight,” and one of their primary objectives is to encourage and bless the mission workers. Thelma Nisly, an RMM missionary in Cuenca, reported that the team did just that. “It is always special to receive friends and guests from the States…but the prayer team ‘visitors’ were special: they came purposely to share our heart burden for our city and the ministry God has entrusted to us. I could literally feel their prayers helping to carry the burden Jesus has given to us for this work. I felt our concerns becoming their concerns as they attentively listened and cheerfully cooperated in the prayer walks.”

Team member Elmer Lehman reported that the team was also blessed to see God moving powerfully in response to their prayers. “We visited one home where eight siblings gathered and received prayer ministry… During the course of the meeting the ninth sibling, not yet a Christian, a sister-in-law estranged from her husband, the mother and later the father who lives with another woman, all appeared and all experienced a touch from the Lord in the six-hour meeting.”

RMM is planning to sponsor future prayer journeys; if you would like more information contact RMM.
