REACHers Begin Discipleship Training
 Nineteen youth arrived in Columbus, Ohio, on
August 30, to begin the three-month Discipleship
Training School (DTS) component of the REACH
program. After this time of preparation the teams
will travel to their respective outreach locations
of the Middle East, Gambia, Central Asia, North
Africa, and Kenya.
Now in its thirteenth year, the REACH program’s goal
is to “equip and release young adults as effective,
empowered witnessing servants into the world.”

Billy Graham Campaign
Members of the Ecuadorian Mennonite Conference (IEME)
participated in a Billy Graham Evangelistic
Association campaign in that country by inviting
friends and neighbors into their homes to view three
nationwide, primetime evangelistic television
broadcasts in early September. Over 3,000 churches
throughout Ecuador participated. Instead of using a
centralized stadium crusade, the Mi Esperanza
(My Hope) campaign was designed to establish direct
and personal connections between Christians and
their non-Christian acquaintances.
