December 2004
Mosaic is the monthly news bulletin of Rosedale Mennonite Missions and is distributed through CMC churches. Because this publication may contain information about workers and ministries in sensitive locations, the entire content is not available online.

Ending on a Positive Note...

RMM has invested time in 2004 reexamining our core purpose and how we fulfill it. How can we most effectively and efficiently expand God’s Kingdom as the mission agency of Conservative Mennonite Conference? The following mission statement emerged as one outcome of this reexamination: “RMM’s mission is to establish locally rooted and led, rapidly reproducing churches, prioritizing people groups and locations that are least reached with the Good News.”
We are grateful for the 120 churches and 1200 individuals who have partnered with RMM this year through financial support.  Indications are that if income and expenses follow historic patterns, we should end our fiscal year (ending December 31) in the black. Given that we’ve ended with a slight deficit the last three years, the thought of ending the year on a positive fiscal note is welcome indeed.
Please consider making a year-end financial contribution in order to make this a reality. In addition to our current ministry efforts, our 2005 plans include expanding our ministry in the Middle East and launching a ministry in the country of Morocco.  Your partnership with a year-end contribution will help enable us to move ahead with these expansion plans. Email the RMM office for more information.

The 13/30 Window
Young people between the ages of 13 to 30 have perhaps the greatest Gospel harvest potential in the world today, says Jason Ma of Campus Church Networks (CCN). 60% of the global population is under 25 years old. 30% (1.7 billion people) are between 10 and 24 years old. Surveys show that 90% of all Christians decide to follow Jesus before their 25th birthday. Yet Barna Research Group studies indicate that 18- to 25-year-olds are the group least likely to attend a church. Each year in the U.S., churches lose 2.76 million people to secularism or nominal Christianity, and between 3,000 and 4,000 churches close. (From FRIDAYFAX 30 Sept.'04)
This Month in the Beacon
RMM’s communications director, Tom Mast, writes about how the incarnation of Jesus is a pattern we should follow in our relationships with non-Christians.
Merry Christmas from the RMM office staff!
