Another Rosebud!
Since the beginning of this year RMM has been marking each conversion that takes place through the ministry of our workers by placing a rosebud in a vase in our office. Thelma Nisly, an RMM missionary in Cuenca, Ecuador, describes “Rosebud #23.”

“Part of our Good Friday retreat theme was to look at John Piper’s book, The Passion of Jesus Christ. Again and again it was emphasized how much Jesus had done for us. As one session was finishing, I opened the meeting up for spontaneous prayers by the retreat participants. Julia, a neighbor friend that has been attending the weekly meetings in Gualaceo, began to pray. She was crying and praying, and it was so clear that she and God had had an encounter. She was asking forgiveness and asking Jesus to be Savior and Lord of her life, and her tears watered her prayer as she poured out her heart.

“It's such a thrill to see when people come to Christ because He has drawn them so powerfully and we have not had to coax them to make a decision. Julia and her husband attend the weekly Bible study, eagerly participating, and seem to be people who will be future leaders of the church planting movement in Gualaceo.”

Washing Machine, Folding Chair, or Horse – Which would you like to give?
Would you like to participate in the work of God in a very practical way? RMM’s 2005 Special Projects list gives you the opportunity to give much-needed material assistance to missionaries and churches around the world. You can buy a horse for a pastor in Nicaragua, a washing machine for a children’s home in Ecuador, or folding chairs for a church in Mexico. There are a total of 33 projects from 6 countries to which your family, Sunday school class or other group can contribute. Copies of this list have been mailed to CMC churches. You can also download it from our website or request a copy by emailing info@rmmoffice.org or calling (740) 857-1366.
