Mosaic is the monthly news bulletin of Rosedale
Mennonite Missions and is distributed through CMC
churches. Because this publication may contain
information about workers and ministries in
sensitive locations, the entire content is not
available online. |
2005’s Rosebuds
Last year, RMM marked each
conversion that took place through the ministry of our workers
by placing a rosebud in a vase in our office. This served as a
visual reminder to the office staff to pray for these new
believers. It wasn’t long before the first vase was full and
another one was needed. By the end of 2005, 64 individuals from
11 countries had made decisions to follow Jesus. Three of the
most recent “rosebuds” are introduced below.
Faith Spreading
in Central Asia
An RMM missionary in
Central Asia has been meeting with a group of women
and girls and many of them have turned to Christ.
Here she introduces three who have recently made
that decision.
“Poetess” has already had to take a stand with a man
from the secret police who saw her reading the New
Testament. He wanted to know who gave her the book
and who she met with, but she held her position and
refused to give information to him.
“Sally” is a rambunctious, saucy young lady who God
has taken control of and is changing her inside-out.
Her family has noticed and some have taken offense
to her faith. But she's one person I'm pretty sure
has the inner courage to stand up to whatever comes.
“Francie” is the third young lady. Several months
ago, stopped me on the street and asked if she could
come to our study. Her mother died in May and she is
still in mourning clothing, but God is healing her
pain. Two weeks ago, she brought her younger sister,
who also seems to be moving rapidly in the right
direction. These girls have an aunt who lives across
the street from them, who is opposing their coming.

RMM’s Prayer
Requests for 2006
RMM’s president, Joe Showalter, and prayer
coordinator, Mim Musser, have compiled a list of
prayer requests for RMM in 2006. Over the next
several months we will publish those in the Mosaic.
Here is the first installment:
Jesus instructed us to ask the Lord of the harvest
to send workers. With a sense of urgency we are
asking God to: |
- Prompt,
anoint, and empower many workers for the
Harvest.
Use RMM workers to lead at least one hundred
people to Jesus in 2006.
- Provide the
finances we need to do the work. (We are
undertaking major expansion with no idea of how
God will provide the additional finances.)
- Increase our
faith as we see Him move in ways we could not
have imagined.
