Welcome to May

Well since no one has updated since the last time I did I would like to welcome you to May! I will not take time to recap everything that has happened in April. Instead I will skip ahead to last week.
Last week we as Staff Intern and Carmal spent the week in Detroit working with Focus Hope. We stayed at a Catholic Rectory. We all had a blast! We started the week with the mindset of looking where God was at work and then finding ways to join him. And that we did. All week we saw areas that God was working. We saw it in the guys we worked with while painting, the seniors that we delivered food to and prayed for, our coordinator, Caleb, Brother Paul from the church, and even Larry the cook who at this point isnt saved yet.Over all the week was definately a good change of pace from life here at the RIC and also a good prep for the summer.

This week is a prep week. There is lots of cleaning to be done and finishing touches for City Challenge which starts MONDAY!!!! It so hard to believe that it is already here. Our first City Challenge group, the Sophomores from Kingsway, will be here Monday- Friday next week. I am so excited to see what all God is going to do in the life of each of the 24 that are comming. I also cant wait to see how God is going to use us to minister to them! =)
Not only is City Challenge here but the end of next week is also when the 6 month teams, Spain and Middle East come home!!! YAY!!! I am looking forward to hearing their stories. And if this isnt enough excitement... Austin and Rachel are moving on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is safe to say that the madness has started. In light of that I will end this with a request for prayer. The next couple month will be stretching, challenging, fun, and a time of growth. Please keep all of us in your prayers as well as the city challengers that come through here each week. Pray for Austin and Rachel as they move and adjust to life here. Pray for the REACHers that are comming back, as they go home and "re-enter" to life here. You can also pray for the 9 month teams, Thailand and Zambia. Last but not least the REACH participants for this fall. We are still looking for more applicants and praying about putting the teams together.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We need them and they are very much appricated! =)
